MLA Saryu Roy Criticizes Lack of Social Activism in Jamshedpur

Leader Highlights Growing Traffic Issues and Administrative Indifference at Public Event

Key Points:

  • Social activism declining in Jamshedpur amid concerns over police action

  • Traffic congestion at Mango Bridge requires immediate administrative attention

  • Growing criminalization of politics threatens democratic values since 1970s

JAMSHEDPUR – Newly elected Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy has expressed concerns about declining social activism and administrative apathy in the city.

The veteran politician addressed citizens at Krishna Sinha Institute. Moreover, he highlighted pressing civic issues facing Jamshedpur residents.

"Timken Square, not Mango Bridge, is the root cause of traffic problems," noted a civic expert. Meanwhile, recent administrative meetings have shown little concrete progress.

Traffic and Infrastructure

The city has witnessed increasing congestion in recent years. Furthermore, several key intersections require urgent attention.

Besides, the administration recently conducted a review meeting. However, effective solutions remain elusive for daily commuters.

Water Management Vision

Roy proposed comprehensive water management solutions. Additionally, he suggested transferring water from Chandil Dam to Dimna.

"The proposed water system could serve Jamshedpur for 100 years," stated a water resources expert. On the other hand, current supply systems face multiple challenges.

Democratic Concerns

Political dynamics have shifted significantly since the JP-Lohia era. In addition, criminal elements have increasingly entered politics.
