Railway Board Clears Temporary Stops Across Key SER Stations

JAMSHEDPUR – South Eastern Railway has approved experimental stoppages for several express trains at select stations following Railway Board clearance.

South Eastern Railway issued an official memorandum from Garden Reach. The order is dated February 4, 2026. It follows Railway Board approval issued earlier.

The approval allows experimental stoppages until further instructions. The decision applies to multiple express services across the zone. Moreover, stoppages cover stations in Jharkhand and West Bengal.

The 18183 and 18184 Tatanagar-Buxar Express will stop at Anara. These stoppages begin from February 10, 2026. Timing adjustments are specified in the memorandum.

The 13505 and 13506 Digha-Asansol Express gain multiple new halts. These include Chandrakona Road, Chhatna, Garbeta, Salboni, and Ondagram. The changes take effect from February 15, 2026.

The 18603 and 18604 Ranchi-Godda Express will halt at Jhalida. These stoppages start from February 14 and 11 respectively. Meanwhile, timings differ by direction.

The 22812 Tatanagar-Kantihari Express receives a halt at Joychandi Pahar. The stoppage begins from February 11, 2026. Both arrival and departure times are notified.

The 20817 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express will stop at Purulia. The halt starts from February 14, 2026. This addition affects both directions.

The memorandum requests all concerned officials to act accordingly. Wide publicity has been advised through various media. The order is signed by operations management officials.

The stoppages affect trains passing through Jamshedpur region corridors. Routes also connect towards Ranchi and Kolkata. Officials say the experiment will assess passenger demand.
