JAMSHEDPUR – A youth missing for two days was found dead in a drain at Kalyan Nagar under Sitaramdera.

The body was recovered from a drain in Kalyan Nagar early Sunday. Soon after, panic spread across the locality. Meanwhile, local residents gathered at the spot.

Police from Sitaramdera police station reached the location promptly. Subsequently, the body was taken into custody. It was later sent for post-mortem examination.

The deceased was identified as Rahul, a resident of Adityapur. According to relatives, he had arrived at his uncle’s house earlier. However, he went missing for two days. On Sunday morning, his body was discovered.

Rahul’s uncle said the family suspected murder. Meanwhile, police said circumstances remained unclear. Moreover, officers questioned nearby residents. In addition, the area was inspected closely.

Police officials stated the cause of death would emerge after autopsy. However, they confirmed investigation from all angles. Meanwhile, discussions continued in the area.

Earlier incidents of body recoveries were also reported nearby. In contrast, police ruled out any immediate connection. For reference, see a similar case.

Past cases included an unidentified body from the same area. Moreover, a previous youth death was also recorded.
