JAMSHEDPUR – A moving car caught fire in Golmuri police station area, but all occupants escaped unhurt after quickly evacuating the vehicle.
The car bearing registration number JH05CH-2014 belonged to Ravi Kumar. He resides in Namda Basti area. However, his brother and family members were returning from a picnic.
Smoke suddenly started emanating from the moving vehicle. The occupants were traveling back from Narwa. Moreover, flames erupted within moments of the initial smoke.
Panic gripped the passengers immediately after noticing the fire. The occupants sensed the gravity of the situation. In addition, they quickly exited the vehicle to safety.
The front portion of the car was completely engulfed within minutes. Flames rapidly consumed the forward section. Furthermore, the entire front area suffered extensive damage.
Tata Motors fire brigade reached the spot after receiving information. The firefighters struggled to control the blaze. Besides, they managed to extinguish the fire after considerable effort.
The vehicle’s front portion had already burnt completely by then. Ravi Kumar confirmed his family members had gone to Narwa. On the other hand, they were returning when the incident occurred.
