Evening Event Promotes Safety and Fitness at JRD Tata Complex

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Sports Department organized the SHE Run on Friday to celebrate women’s empowerment and wellness.

JRD Tata Sports Complex hosted the evening event. Women from diverse age groups participated in runs. Moreover, the initiative aimed to encourage participation in upcoming events.

Two age categories featured in the competition format. The 18-35 years group saw strong performances. However, the 35-plus category also witnessed impressive participation.

Sushila Samad won the younger category with bib 801. Nirmala Soy secured second position wearing bib 828. Besides, Aditi Murmu finished third with bib number 806.

Nitu claimed victory in the senior category. Her bib number was 754 for identification. Meanwhile, V. Rani took second place with bib 756.

Mamta completed the senior podium wearing bib 753. All winners demonstrated remarkable fitness and determination. In addition, they inspired other participants significantly.

Special recognitions highlighted diverse participant achievements throughout Friday. Khushi Kumari received youngest participant award at age 18. On the other hand, Dr. Radhika Naayan earned eldest recognition.

Dr. Naayan’s age of 53 inspired fitness commitment. Mamta Prusty ran wearing traditional saree attire. Furthermore, her effort showcased women embracing physical challenges boldly.

Sonali Kumari won best-dressed participant award for attire. Her vibrant clothing reflected spirited participation energy. However, all participants contributed to event’s uplifting atmosphere.

Dr. Alokananda Ray attended as chief guest Friday evening. The Tata Steel chief consultant emphasized women’s health importance. Meanwhile, sports initiatives continue promoting wellness.

Guest of Honour Shalini Sulakshana addressed the gathering. The Tata Steel ethics head highlighted women’s role. Besides, she emphasized positive change through community participation.

Purabi Ghosh shared thoughts on women’s empowerment issues. Munmun Chakraborty from Sanskriti Shoshan Welfare Foundation participated. Moreover, community health initiatives received attention.

Evening scheduling carried significant safety messaging for participants. Women were encouraged to participate during late hours. However, the event demonstrated safe public space access.

The initiative promotes stepping out for sports activities. Community participation received strong emphasis throughout Friday. In addition, women’s confidence in public spaces grew.

The SHE Run format prepares participants for larger events ahead. Jamshedpur Run will feature more women runners subsequently. Furthermore, wellness awareness continues spreading through such programs.

Women athletes from the region gain recognition regularly. Sports championships have featured strong female participation historically. Meanwhile, empowerment through athletics receives institutional support consistently.
