JAMSHEDPUR – A grand Ganesh Puja celebration at Kukdu Hatatola ground in Ichagarh, Chandil witnessed a huge turnout of devotees and villagers. The festive event combined devotion, cultural programs, and participation of political and social leaders.

The event began with ribbon-cutting by Sudesh Mahto, former Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He also performed rituals before Lord Ganesha and wished for the well-being of the people.

However, the program also saw many prominent guests. They included AJSU leader Harelal Mahto, BJP state executive member Dr. Jatashankar Pandey, AJSU central secretary Ashok Saw, district vice president Basant Poddar, OBC Morcha leader Angur Mahto, and BJP Sonari president Prashant Kumar Poddar.

Cultural Performances

Meanwhile, noted artist Kundan Kumar led the cultural segment. His colorful performance received loud applause and delighted the audience. People stayed till late night to enjoy the shows.

On the other hand, Dr. Jatashankar Pandey remarked that Ganesh Puja celebrations are now thriving in villages as well. He added, “We openly affirm our identity as Hindus and will remain so.” Speakers appreciated the committee’s efforts despite weather challenges. They said such rural events strengthen cultural heritage and social harmony.

Participation and Atmosphere

Besides, villagers and devotees joined enthusiastically throughout the program. The air resonated with chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya as the crowd celebrated together.
