KHAGARIA – Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Khagaria on Saturday as part of his campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections and addressed a massive rally at the JNKT ground.
A large crowd gathered to listen to him as he sought support for NDA candidates from four constituencies in the district. During his speech, Shah launched a strong attack on the RJD and Congress alliance.
He said that on one side stood the development-oriented leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, while on the other was the “jungle raj” of the previous RJD government. “The Mahagathbandhan represents only two things — corruption and family politics,” he declared.
According to Shah, Modi and Nitish want to advance the sons and daughters of Bihar, while Lalu Prasad only wants to make his son the Chief Minister and Sonia Gandhi dreams of making her son the Prime Minister. “The people must decide who truly thinks about Bihar’s development,” he added.
Praising Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Shah said that India’s global standing had risen significantly under his rule. He cited the air strikes against Pakistan after the Pulwama attack as proof of India’s strong response to terrorism.
