Seraikela Police Conducts Flag March Ahead of Festive Season

Police Step Up Security for Diwali, Bhai Dooj, and Chhath

SERAIKELA – The Seraikela police carried out a flag march on Saturday to ensure safety during the upcoming Diwali, Bhai Dooj, and Chhath festivals.

The march was led by Seraikela Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sameer Kumar Savai, trainee DSP Pooja Kumari, and Station Officer Vinay Kumar. Police personnel patrolled major routes and crowded market zones on foot.

According to SDPO Sameer Kumar Savai, the exercise aimed to maintain peace and law and order, while also boosting public confidence. He added that all police units have been placed on high alert until the conclusion of Chhath.

Moreover, officers were instructed to monitor sensitive locations closely. Directions were issued to handle emerging challenges effectively during the festive period.

“The police will remain on duty round-the-clock to ensure peaceful and secure celebrations,” said a local officer. Meanwhile, awareness is being raised among shopkeepers and residents to cooperate with law enforcement.
