JAMSHEDPUR – A youth was stabbed by his friend in Tajnagar under Kapali police jurisdiction and later forcibly removed from hospital by the accused’s family.
Mo Irshad, a Tajnagar resident, was attacked on Monday evening. He had returned from work and went to play kabaddi. However, his friend Faizan Khan arrived at the spot.
The accused was reportedly intoxicated at the time. He threatened to kill Irshad, according to the complaint. Moreover, he pulled out a sharp knife from his waist.
Faizan then attacked Irshad with the weapon. The victim sustained serious injuries in the assault. He was rushed to MGM Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Faizan’s elder brother reached the hospital with associates. They forcibly took Irshad away from the medical facility. The victim’s treatment remained incomplete at that point.
Irshad’s family was informed about the incident subsequently. They arrived at the hospital and got him admitted. His mother Tayera Khatun said the accused’s family had visited their home earlier.
“They came to our house before going to hospital,” she said. “They were inquiring about Irshad’s condition and whereabouts.” The family also questioned neighbors about the victim.
The injured youth has now filed a complaint. Kapali Police Station has registered a case against Faizan Khan. Investigation into the matter is currently underway.
