RAMGARH – In a swift breakthrough, Ramgarh police arrested a truck driver accused of raping and murdering a woman in Bhadaninagar within 24 hours of the crime. The gruesome incident took place on October 11 around 4:30 a.m. near Madan Kuti shop in Bhadaninagar area.
According to police reports, the victim, identified as a local sevika, was attacked by the accused while on her way to work. The truck driver allegedly forced himself on her and later strangled her to death to eliminate evidence. The crime triggered outrage among residents of the area.
Under the direct supervision of Ramgarh Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar, a special investigation team was formed immediately. Acting on intelligence inputs, police traced and arrested the suspect from Khalari area.
The accused has been identified as Suvinder Yadav, a native of Sherghati in Gaya district, Bihar. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed to committing the crime. Police are now completing legal formalities to present him before the court.
SP Ajay Kumar stated that the case was solved within a day due to coordinated efforts of multiple teams. He confirmed that the investigation would continue to ensure maximum punishment for the accused.
The Ramgarh police have assured that a fast-track trial will be sought to deliver justice swiftly. The incident has once again raised concerns over women’s safety in semi-urban areas during early morning hours.
