Agomoni Nrityotsav to Showcase 50 Dancers in Shantipur
Renowned Odissi Performer Rupsha Pakrashi to Open the Festival

SHANTIPUR (WEST BENGAL) – Shantipur is set to host a major classical dance festival on September 14, 2025, bringing together over 50 performers at the Public Library Hall.
The festival, titled “Agomoni Nrityotsav,” will be organized by Shantipur Nrityadhara Wave of Dance. It will begin at 4:30 p.m. with an Odissi recital by noted dancer Rupsha Pakrashi, the director of the organizing institution.
Solo presentations will feature Moumita Paul in Mohiniyattam, Karina Sarkar in Bharatanatyam, and Soumili Goswami in Rabindra Nritya.
Meanwhile, group performances will be staged by institutions including Sangita Nrityangan, Dona Dance Academy, Upasana, Sonartodi Dance Academy, Nrityam School of Dance, and Pushpak Dance Academy.
The program will conclude with Rupsha Pakrashi’s special performance “Chitrangada.”
Lighting will be managed by Dinesh Poddar, and Kaushik Sengupta will anchor the event. Photography will be handled by Gopinath Roy and Sandeep Pramanik, while international telecast will be supported by California Television Global.
