JAMSHEDPUR – Panic spread near Marine Drive close to Kapali Basti on Tuesday when a young woman climbed a Tata Steel high-tension electricity pole.

She reached nearly 60 feet above the ground. However, Tata Steel staff and district rescue teams managed to bring her down after two hours. The electricity supply was cut to avoid any mishap.

The woman, whose mental state appeared unstable, was admitted to MGM Hospital. A local youth named Roshan, who climbed the pole to help, said she only mentioned being deceived by a boy from Adityapur. According to her words, he took money, pretended love, and later married someone else.

However, she did not share her name or address. The situation drew large crowds in the area until the rescue ended.
