Urdu Bhavan Hosts Literary Event With Book Launch in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – Urdu Bhavan, Jamshedpur organized a grand literary event on August 18 at Madina Garden, Old Purulia Road, where literature enthusiasts from the city and outside gathered in large numbers.
The occasion was marked by the release of poet Noor Jamshedpuri’s collection “Khamosh Lamho Ka Safar.” The event was presided over by Dr. Mohammad Zakaria, Director of Education at Karim’s Trust Jamshedpur, with Dr. Kamran Gani Saba, Urdu professor at Nitishwar College, Muzaffarpur, as the chief guest.
The program began with tributes to late leaders Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, former education minister Ramdas Soren, and Syed Ahmad Shamim, followed by two minutes of silence. Urdu Bhavan president Dr. Hasan Imam Mallik welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of Urdu literature, recalling a Supreme Court ruling in favor of the language.
The book release was carried out by the chair and guests. Writers Ahmed Badr, Aslam Badr, and storyteller Akhtar Azad shared their views on the collection. General secretary Prof. Gauhar Aziz conducted the session and elaborated on past achievements of Urdu Bhavan.
In the second session, a mushaira was held featuring poets Aslam Badr, Ahmed Badr, Mehtab Anwar, Gauhar Aziz, Rizwan Aurangabadi, Asar Bhagalpuri, Iqbal Aslam, Saddam Gani, Farhan Khan Farhan, Saklain Mushtaq, and guest poet Kamran Gani Saba.
The vote of thanks was delivered by writer Noor Jamshedpuri’s husband, Abdul Ghaffar Khan. Among the special attendees were Gurubari Hembram, former senior manager of Tata Steel Urban Services, and Hina Mahato of Tata Steel. Urdu Bhavan treasurer Syed Sajid Parvez and Madina Garden director Usman Babu played key roles in organizing the event.
