Two Arrested for Stepbrother’s Brutal Murder in Seraikela
Police Crack Lakshman Hembram Killing Case Within Days of Investigation

SERAIKELA – Police arrested two suspects in the brutal murder of Lakshman Hembram in Seraikela police station area within days of investigation.
The incident occurred on July 16 in Patahensol village. Moreover, victim Lakshman Hembram was killed in a paddy field. However, his stepsister Reena Soy filed the complaint with authorities.
According to the FIR, the murder happened around 10 AM near Naya Puliya. Furthermore, the location was in Rangpur village under Saldih area. Meanwhile, attackers crushed the victim’s head with large stones after pushing it into mud.
Superintendent of Police formed a special investigation team immediately. However, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Seraikela led the operation. In addition, the team conducted raids based on human and technical evidence.
Police arrested Manoj Hembram alias Chongo and Madan Hembram alias Choke. Moreover, both suspects had no previous criminal records. Besides, they were the victim’s stepbrothers in this family dispute.
Authorities recovered crucial evidence following Madan Hembram’s confession statement. Furthermore, police seized scooter number JH05BJ-3174 used in crime. Meanwhile, investigators found his mobile phone and bloodstained t-shirt.
The murder weapon, a large stone, was also recovered. However, this provided additional proof of the brutal killing method. In addition, technical evidence supported the confession details completely.
Both accused are being sent to judicial custody. Moreover, the investigation team included several senior officers. Besides, SDPO Seraikela, Inspector Nitin Kumar Singh and Station In-charge Vinay Kumar participated.
The team also comprised Ramrekha Paswan, Amish Kumar and Garti Sundi. Furthermore, Havildar Rajesh Oraon, Constable Arun Kumar Mahato participated. Meanwhile, driver constable Shemendra Kumar and technical branch team assisted.
