JAMSHEDPUR – Chief Minister Hemant Soren responds to air pollution concerns raised on social media.
Former MLA Kunal Sarangi highlighted hazardous pollution levels. He posted about missing public information displays.
The CM directed DC Ananya Mittal to take action. It would be interesting to see what action the administration takes to address air quality issues.
Meanwhile, public concerns grow over environmental health risks. Citizens are now watching keenly what immediate pollution control measures are employed.
Whose Responsibility?
Sarangi, in his tweet wrote: “ Hello Jamshedpur! This is WHAT we are inhaling. @TataSteelLtd or @TataCompanies. Who will answer this ? The numbers are criminal and not a single public display board to inform the people. For formality sake there is one to show temperature & humidity. I mean really? Fear or Ignorance? I request CM @HemantSorenJMM Ji to take strict action. @DCEastSinghbhum it’s severely unhealthy. Who will check it ?”

Public Information Gap
Sarangi pointed out that the city lacks adequate pollution monitoring displays. Current boards show limited environmental data.
Furthermore, now residents’ attention has turned to the issue of pollution and worry over health impacts. The administration too is now facing increased focus.
