Police Yet to Solve Cases as Security Gaps in Residential Areas Widen

Key Points:

  • Multiple thefts reported in Adityapur, Mango, Parsudih and Jugsalai areas
  • Most apartments lack proper security guards and CCTV surveillance
  • Recent theft at Parsudih flat results in Rs 20 lakh loss

JAMSHEDPUR – A spate of apartment thefts has hit the steel city, with over 10 cases reported in just 20 days.

The thieves have targeted flats across various localities. Security measures remain inadequate in most complexes.

“We’re working to nab the culprits,” SSP Kishore Kaushal stated. Investigation teams are tracking multiple leads.

Security Concerns

Most apartments in Parsudih employ untrained guards. CCTV cameras often malfunction or remain unmonitored.

Meanwhile, Jugsalai’s 150 apartments face severe security issues. Many complexes have just one or two guards.

Recent Cases

Thieves struck Srinath Residency in Kadma Marine Drive. They targeted three flats on January 16.

Moreover, burglars hit Earth Enclave on January 17. Two flats were robbed on the same day.

Vulnerable Areas

Adityapur’s residential complexes show major lapses. Agency-hired guards often neglect their duties.

However, Mango area faces the biggest challenge. Over 300 apartments lack proper visitor screening.
