JAMSHEDPUR – The Loyola Alumni Association (LAA) successfully hosted its inaugural Mini Football Tournament today at the Loyola School Grounds. The event brought together around 60 enthusiastic alumni members, who represented their school houses—Jaguars, Panthers, Leopards, and Cheetahs—in a six-a-side format.

The tournament featured a league-based first round, followed by intense semi-finals and finals. Jaguars emerged victorious under the captaincy of Rohit John, defeating the Panthers, led by Misbah Khan, in a gripping final. The Leopards secured the third position in this spirited competition.

Celebrations and Awards

The Player of the Tournament award went to Vikhyat Sinha for his outstanding performance throughout the event. The winners and runners-up were felicitated with trophies and medals by LAA President Fr. Vinod Fernandes, along with senior members Rajiv Talwar, Savak Patel, Pratim Banerjee, and Iqbal Alam.

A Platform for Connection

The tournament was more than just a game, as it provided alumni members an opportunity to reconnect and celebrate their shared school memories. “This was a fantastic event that allowed us to meet and have fun. We plan to make it an annual tradition,” shared a senior alumnus.
