SERAIKELA – Renowned French filmmaker Vincent Moon has documented the rich traditions of Seraikela Chhau dance during his visit to the historic Paharpur village.

The filmmaker received traditional welcome at Shri Kedar Art Center. The center has trained over 200 artists in classical Chhau dance.

“The artistic depth of Seraikela Chhau is truly mesmerizing,” an art enthusiast commented.

Seraikela Chhau earned UNESCO recognition in 2010. The dance form combines martial arts with classical movements.

Meanwhile, the tradition dates back over three centuries. Local artists have preserved unique choreographic elements through generations.
