JAMSHEDPUR – A financial awareness program, in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), was held at RVS College of Engineering and Technology today.

The event featured Ranjan Prasad Singh, Regional Director of RBI, Jharkhand, as the chief guest, and Alfred Girish Tirki, Assistant General Manager, as the special guest. The program emphasized financial literacy and career opportunities in banking.

Interactive Discussions on Financial Literacy

The session began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, the college principal. Ranjan Prasad Singh discussed the RBI’s pivotal role since its inception in 1935, stressing financial management’s importance in modern life. He encouraged students to embrace sound financial planning.

Alfred Girish Tirki addressed the challenges of financial management in a tech-driven era, offering solutions to students aspiring to excel in this domain.

Highlights of the Program

During the event, the institution’s treasurer, Shatrughan Singh, honored the guests with mementos. He reiterated the value of such initiatives in understanding financial intricacies. The program concluded with a quiz competition and a detailed discussion on RBI career paths. Winners were awarded diaries, pens, and sweets.

The event also included a tree plantation drive led by the RBI Regional Director, symbolizing a commitment to sustainable development.
