JAMSHEDPUR – A mega employment fair hosted by the Labour, Employment, and Training Department on Saturday at the Golmuri Employment Office in Jamshedpur saw 2919 candidates securing jobs through interviews.

The event featured participation from 25 companies across Jharkhand, offering a range of positions including security guards, supervisors, drivers, JCB operators, managers, computer operators, mechanical fitters, welders, and electricians. The key highlight of the event was the direct interview-based selection process, bypassing the need for written examinations.

Opportunities for Diverse Qualifications

The fair aimed to provide employment opportunities to Jharkhand’s unemployed youth. Applicants with qualifications ranging from Class 10, Class 12, ITI, Diploma, to Graduation were eligible to participate. The age criteria were set between 18 to 55 years, ensuring inclusivity across a broad demographic.

Enthusiastic Response From Job Seekers

The initiative drew a significant turnout of young men and women eager to secure jobs. The vibrant atmosphere underscored the enthusiasm of the participants, many of whom expressed optimism about their future prospects.

State officials emphasized that such fairs are part of the government’s efforts to address unemployment and empower the youth through meaningful career opportunities.
