JAMSHEDPUR – A remarkable incident of honesty unfolded in Adityapur when two locals found ₹3.5 lakh lying abandoned on the road and ensured its return to its rightful owner.

Money Found by Honest Locals

On Monday evening, near S-Type Chowk in the Adityapur area, radio jockey Abhay and Tata Power employee Ananga Karmakar discovered the cash scattered on the roadside.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, they sought help from former Ward 22 councilor Sudhir Singh.

Together, they informed the Adityapur police, who dispatched a team to secure the money.

Owner Traced Through Social Media

The cash belonged to Vipin Kumar, a resident of Baliguma, Mango, who had lost it while traveling to arrange funds for his injured brother.

Social media posts about the discovery caught his attention, and he rushed to the police station.

After providing sufficient evidence of ownership, the police verified his claims and returned the money in the presence of councilor Singh.

A Grateful Owner Expresses Thanks

Vipin Kumar expressed deep gratitude to RJ Abhay, Ananga Karmakar, and the police for their efforts.

"The honesty and prompt action of these individuals saved me from a huge financial loss," Kumar said.

Police also commended the individuals involved, highlighting their actions as exemplary.
