CHAIBASA – Food Safety Officer Abhishek Anand conducted a surprise inspection of Bombay Delight Bakery in Chakradharpur.

The officer found valid FSSAI registration. “The bakery needs proper licensing,” a department official stated.

Inspection Findings

The team collected product samples for testing. The bakery received 15 days to address identified issues.

Meanwhile, officials checked food quality standards. They emphasized proper documentation requirements.

Moreover, the inspection covered hygiene practices. Staff must wear appropriate safety gear while cooking.

Safety Guidelines

The department issued strict hygiene directives. Food handlers must use aprons and gloves.

Furthermore, vendors must verify ingredient expiry dates. Use of harmful food colors remains prohibited.

Compliance Requirements

Unlicensed vendors received a seven-day deadline. They must apply through the FSSAI portal.

In addition, businesses must display licenses prominently. The civil surgeon’s office offers guidance.

The department plans follow-up inspections soon. Violators will face monetary penalties.
