MEDININAGAR – Amid biting cold and harsh weather in Palamu, Municipal Commissioner Mohammad Javed Hussain distributed blankets to sanitation workers on Wednesday at the cleaning office near Chhah Muhana. The initiative aims to support workers who ensure the city’s cleanliness despite adverse weather conditions.

Health and Safety for Sanitation Workers

Acknowledging the dedication of sanitation workers, the Municipal Commissioner highlighted their critical role in maintaining a clean and beautiful city, regardless of the season. “These workers deserve health protection and facilities. The municipal administration is committed to ensuring their safety and well-being,” said Hussain. Earlier, jackets were provided to shield workers from the cold, and now blankets are being distributed to further protect them from harsh weather.

Community Support and Distribution

The initiative extended support to permanent, daily-wage, and master roll workers, as well as laborers under the Shramik Yojana. Additionally, Chief Municipal Manager Satish Kumar distributed blankets to 50 other underprivileged individuals in the area.

The event saw the participation of sanitation inspectors and various municipal staff, including Krishna Murari Sharma, Bishun Ram, Santosh Kumar, and others, who reiterated their commitment to the welfare of sanitation workers.
