RANCHI – The Jharkhand cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday approved nine significant proposals at Project Building.

The meeting set important policy directions. The approvals covered healthcare, police administration, and legislative planning.

Healthcare Initiatives

The cabinet approved an MoU for establishing AIIMS in Deoghar. This aims to provide quality tertiary healthcare services.

A new nursing recruitment policy received approval. This will facilitate hiring in the healthcare sector.

Administrative Reforms

The government introduced new rules for DGP selection. This aims to bring transparency in top police appointments.

The cabinet restructured junior education service positions. This reflects current administrative requirements.

Legislative Planning

Dr. Seema Akhouri from St. Xavier’s College will lead pre-budget workshops. She will serve as the knowledge partner.

The government designated the Additional District and Sessions Judge-1 court in Untari, Garhwa. It will handle SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act cases.
