6 days of zero corona death in Jamshedpur, total deaths remain at 375

Jamshedpur: There has been no corona-related death in the city and the district for about a week now. One fatality was reported on last Saturday and the total death toll had reached 375. However, the death toll has remained at 375 for 6 consecutive days as no deaths were reported on Saturday either.

According to official data, 8 more persons were identified as coronavirus positive in East Singhbhum district, taking the total number of infections in the district to 17,962.

On the other hand, 13 more patients were also cured and discharged from hospital. The total number of cured patients in the district has now reached 17,466.

For now the district has only 121 active cases of coronavirus infections, even while the vaccination drive of the first phase is continuing in the district.

As per official data, the district has tested 5,08,615 samples till date, out of which, 4,90,653 samples have tested negative, while 17,962 have tested positive.

The recovery rate for the district is at 97.28%, while the mortality rate is at 2.09%. The positivity rate for the district has come down to 3.53%.
