Students Demand Cancellation and Investigation of Exam Irregularities

Key Points:

  • Students from all blocks protested at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
  • Alleged irregularities surfaced in the watchman recruitment exam.
  • SDO assured students that the issue will be reviewed.

JAMSHEDPUR – Allegations of irregularities in the recent watchman recruitment exam have sparked protests in East Singhbhum district.

Students across all blocks gathered at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, demanding the cancellation of the exam due to alleged discrepancies in the question papers and answer keys. These concerns, raised by examinees, have called into question the integrity of the recruitment process.

Growing Concerns Over Exam Integrity

The protesters claimed that the watchman exam, conducted 20 days ago, displayed multiple errors in the answer key. This, according to them, highlights administrative failure in handling even minor recruitment processes. Students cited past controversies surrounding exams such as JPSC and CGL as examples of persistent examination frauds.

Authorities’ Assurance and Response

Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) visited the protest site, assuring the students of a detailed inquiry. “We will address the raised issues with due diligence,” the SDO reportedly said, attempting to alleviate students’ concerns.

Protesters’ Demands and Future Actions

The protesters demanded the cancellation of the exam, followed by a fair and transparent retest. They also called for a thorough investigation into the alleged irregularities to prevent such incidents in the future.
