For Tata YPR Express, the difference is as much as 30 minutes. Similarly, for Tata Kir Express, the different is 25 minutes. And this is not insignificant. The stress should have been on reducing the travel time. Instead, now it has been increased, the rail users say.

Criticism from Rail Users
The Jharkhand Rail Users Association has criticized the new timetable, arguing it compromises efficiency. A statement from the association questioned the logic behind slower trains amid major investments in railway modernization.
“Slower trains in 2025 signify a step backward when speed and efficiency should be priorities,” the association noted, referencing the focus on infrastructure upgrades like high-speed projects and signaling systems.

Public Reaction
Social media users have also voiced frustration. One passenger commented, “Despite modern advancements, slower schedules waste millions of collective hours. We need a network that values time!”
