JAMSHEDPUR – The Bagbera water supply project continues to face delays affecting 17 panchayats, with road conditions deteriorating due to pipeline work.

District Councillor Dr. Kavita Parmar initiated a thorough inspection following the end of election code. Moreover, she met with Executive Engineer Sunil Kumar to expedite the project.

Infrastructure Progress

Pillar construction at Baroda Ghat is complete. Additionally, pipeline locations have been finalized from there to the filter plant.

The clarifier-flocculator and filtration units remain pending. However, officials promise completion by February 2024.

Implementation Strategy

Dr. Parmar suggested focusing on collection, treatment, and distribution. Furthermore, she recommended parallel work execution across all sites.

The team plans to organize camps in each panchayat. Meanwhile, they aim to accelerate remaining pipeline connections.

Project Timeline

Officials assured water supply initiation by February 2025. Besides, they confirmed availability of pipes at various locations.

Dr. Parmar warned of protests if deadlines aren’t met. On the other hand, she emphasized maintaining quality standards throughout construction.
