MEDININAGAR – A gold merchant was robbed of jewelry worth ₹10 lakh and cash near Banka River. The incident occurred around 2 PM on Friday in the Patan police station area.
Merchant Targeted on Kishunpur-Tarahasi Road
Two masked criminals carried out the robbery in broad daylight. Kameshwar Soni, a gold merchant from Patan, was traveling to Loinga. The robbers intercepted his bike near Karar Khurd and took control of the situation.
They seized the bike keys, opened the vehicle’s storage, and took 3 kilograms of silver and 100 grams of gold ornaments. Additionally, they looted ₹4,000 from his pocket and issued a death threat before fleeing.
Police Respond Swiftly
Following the report, ASI Prabhat Kiran of Kishunpur OP arrived at the scene. Investigations commenced immediately to identify the culprits. Patrolling has been intensified in the area.
