RANCHI – IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre has predicted light rainfall in parts of Jharkhand this weekend as minimum temperatures climb notably above normal levels.
The state is experiencing unusual weather conditions for December. A Western Disturbance has formed a cyclonic circulation over Punjab.
Meanwhile, minimum temperatures have increased significantly across Jharkhand. In Jamshedpur, the temperature reached 16.6 degrees Celsius.
Impact Across Districts
The capital city Ranchi recorded 12.6 degrees Celsius. Moreover, Daltonganj and Bokaro registered 13.8 and 13.5 degrees respectively.
Furthermore, the temperatures exceeded normal ranges by 3-4 degrees. The weather changes could affect winter crop cultivation.
Weather System Analysis
A cyclonic circulation hovers over Haryana at 3.1 km altitude. Additionally, another system exists over northwest Madhya Pradesh at 1.5 km elevation.
The weekend forecast indicates partly cloudy conditions. However, western and northern regions may experience rainfall on Saturday.
On the other hand, southwestern areas could see precipitation on Sunday. “Weather patterns are becoming increasingly dynamic,” noted a meteorological expert.
