JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum Zila Hindi Sahitya Sammelan honored three writers at Tulsi Bhawan during a celebration marking the birth anniversaries of Madan Mohan Malaviya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Neeta Sagar Chaudhary, Randi Satyanarayana Rao, and Dr. Uday Pratap Hayat received the Swadesh Memorial Award 2024. The honor included cash prizes and mementos.
“The awards inspire literary progress,” said Dr. Angad Tiwari, Director of Arka Jain University. Moreover, folk poet Prakash praised Tulsi Bhawan’s contribution to Hindi literature.
Special Recognitions
The organization honored 82-year-old trustee Murlidhar Kedia. Additionally, Dr. Prasenjit Tiwari’s recent Atal Bhushan Award was celebrated.
Meanwhile, the event began with lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Furthermore, speakers presented brief profiles of Malaviya and Vajpayee.
Cultural Evening
The second session featured cultural performances. “The musical presentations mesmerized the audience,” an attendee noted.
Over hundred literary figures attended the celebration. However, the evening concluded with a community litti feast.
