JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration in Jamshedpur intensified its campaign against drug abuse with a significant raid on Sunday. Led by the SP, SDO, DSP, and magistrates, the raid targeted 5-6 medical stores on Dimna Road in the Ulidih police station area.
During the operation, authorities seized large quantities of banned substances, including narcotic injections, tablets, and other controlled items. These substances were reportedly being sold without prescriptions, fueling illegal drug use among the city’s youth.
Focus on Eradicating Drug Trade
Sources revealed that the raid aimed to dismantle the widespread illegal drug trade in the region. The targeted stores were allegedly major suppliers of narcotics, posing a severe threat to public health.
