JAMSHEDPUR – Yashas Chandra grabbed the third-round lead at the TATA Steel Tour Championship with a flawless performance.

Professional golf tournaments have been hosted in Jamshedpur since 1990. Moreover, this championship offers the highest prize purse on PGTI.

“The greens speed varies between both courses,” remarked a golf expert. The tournament uses a unique two-course format.

Strong Performance

Yashas hit 16 greens in regulation during round three. Meanwhile, he sank four birdies on the front nine.

The Mysuru golfer maintained composure with steady pars. Furthermore, his tee shots showed marked improvement.

Close Competition

Udayan Mane carded a steady 68 to stay in contention. However, several putts narrowly missed the hole.

Sudhir Sharma and N Thangaraja shared third place. Additionally, they remained within striking distance.

Local Interest

Three Jamshedpur professionals competed in the tournament. Meanwhile, Karan Taunk led the local contingent.

Yuvraj Sandhu made history with a tournament-low 63. The round included five consecutive birdies.
