JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) staged a protest at Sakchi Gol Chakkar, burning an effigy of Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his recent remarks about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The party condemned the statement and expressed strong opposition as part of the ongoing INDIA alliance protests.
JMM’s Strong Reaction
Former MP Suman Mahto joined the demonstration, reiterating the JMM’s stand against Shah’s statement made during a recent Parliament session. The party, along with other INDIA bloc members, has accused the Home Minister’s remarks of being inappropriate and disrespectful to the Constitution’s architect, Dr. Ambedkar.
At Sakchi Gol Chakkar, JMM workers gathered in large numbers, expressing their anger by burning Shah’s effigy. The protesters warned that their agitation would escalate if such statements continue.
INDIA Bloc Intensifies Protests
The INDIA alliance has been amplifying its nationwide movement against Amit Shah’s controversial remarks. JMM leaders in Jamshedpur stressed their commitment to defending Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy and protecting constitutional values.
Addressing the protest, JMM leaders declared that future demonstrations would be larger and more intense if their concerns are ignored. “We cannot tolerate disrespect toward Dr. Ambedkar or the Constitution,” a JMM leader stated.
