JAMSHEDPUR – Congress leader Alok Kumar ‘Munna’ was shot dead by unidentified assailants in broad daylight near Road No. 4 in Shastri Nagar, Kadma.

The incident occurred around 10:00 AM on Wednesday morning.

The assailants had apparently been lying in wait for the victim.

“The attackers fired four shots at point-blank range,” said a source.

Criminal Background

The victim was facing a few cases too.

Meanwhile, CCTV footage had earlier captured him assaulting a BJP leader.

Sources said that a case was registered at Kadma Police Station regarding that incident.
