JAMSHEDPUR – East Singhbhum district witnesses a continuous rise in dengue cases, with 15 new infections reported on Thursday.
The total number of dengue patients in the district has now reached 194.
Parsudih and Potka areas reported three cases each on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Telco area recorded two new dengue cases.
Additionally, one case each was reported from Sitaramdera, Jugsalai, Sakchi, Bagbera, Mango, Golmuri, and Jadugoda.
Patients are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals including TMH and MGM.
Moreover, several private hospitals in the city are also handling dengue cases.
In response to the rising cases, municipal bodies have intensified preventive measures.
Fogging operations are being carried out regularly to control mosquito populations.
Furthermore, anti-larva spraying is being conducted in affected areas to prevent mosquito breeding.
These efforts aim to curb the spread of dengue in the district.
Health authorities urge residents to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from mosquito bites.
