JAMSHEDPUR – Thirty aspiring astronomers received recognition at the Young Astronomer Talent Search 2024 finale from Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The event focused on space tourism potential. Meanwhile, participants explored ISRO’s recent achievements.

Distinguished Support

Science Minister Krushna Chandra Patra praised the winners’ potential. Moreover, Tata Steel Kalinganagar VP Rajiv Kumar highlighted the program’s impact.

Former ISRO Program Director Dr. Geetha Varadan interacted with students. Additionally, GalaxEye VP Kishan Thakkar shared industry insights.

Growing Impact

The initiative has reached 400,000 students since inception. Furthermore, over 200 winners have visited ISRO facilities.

Previous editions focused on various space themes. However, this year specifically addressed space tourism possibilities.

Future Scientists

Development Commissioner Anu Garg attended the ceremony. Besides, Principal Secretary Chithra Arumugam emphasized science education.

The program continues fostering scientific talent. On the other hand, it strengthens industry-academia connections.
