JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Police arrested two accused, Brijnandan Pathak and Ravi Sarkar, in connection with the Sunil Singh murder case during a raid in Sasaram, Bihar. Both are identified as shooters from Bittu Kamat’s gang.
The accused were brought to Jamshedpur on Sunday evening and sent to jail after questioning. Police confirmed that the duo shot Sunil Singh on Bittu Kamat’s orders.
On November 16, Sunil Kumar Singh (47), a convoy in-charge, was shot dead near Sitaru Talab under Telco police station. Three bike-borne assailants targeted him while he was riding his scooter.
Bittu Kamat allegedly suspected Sunil of planning to kill him by hiring criminals. Acting on this suspicion, he ordered the murder. Police had earlier arrested Bittu Kamat and Bharat Kamat, who are now in jail.
Following police pressure, Bittu Kamat surrendered in court and was taken into remand. During interrogation, Bittu revealed details about his gang members, which led to Brijnandan Pathak and Ravi Sarkar’s arrests.
The investigation highlights coordinated efforts by Jamshedpur Police to crack down on organized crime networks. Authorities are now probing further to identify other individuals linked to the case.
