JAMSHEDPUR – MGM Medical College has finally initiated an auction process for condemned items, four months after receiving directives from health officials.

The college faced criticism for delays. “Space optimization is crucial for operations,” a senior administrator noted.

Principal Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh ordered the auction in August. His inspection revealed extensive unused materials.

The college took no action for months. However, news of another inspection prompted quick response.

Auction Process

Dr. D. Hansda issued the tender notice on December 11. Interested parties have until December 30 to submit bids.

The college will open bids on January 3. Meanwhile, departments prepare item lists.

Multiple departments house condemned materials. These include medical equipment and furniture.

The auction covers various items. Furthermore, scattered scrap materials need removal.

The administration seeks quick clearance. “This will improve facility management,” a department official explained.
