JAMSHEDPUR – A 56-year-old security guard, Ganeshan, who arrived from Chennai, passed away during treatment at MGM Hospital on Friday. On December 11, Ganeshan collapsed suddenly at Tatanagar Railway Station due to deteriorating health.
Fellow passengers at the station informed the Tatanagar Government Railway Police (GRP) about the incident. Acting promptly, GRP officials shifted him to MGM Hospital, where he remained under medical care for three days.
Despite treatment efforts, Ganeshan succumbed to his condition late Friday night. The hospital authorities have informed his family about the unfortunate incident, and the body has been sent for postmortem.
Rail police officials stated that investigations are underway to determine the cause of Ganeshan’s sudden illness and subsequent death.
Ganeshan’s untimely demise highlights the need for immediate medical facilities at railway stations to handle such emergencies efficiently. Passengers and authorities alike praised the GRP for their prompt response.
