JAMSHEDPUR – In view of the falling temperatures and increasing cold, Jamshedpur Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal has directed officials to safeguard the homeless and provide immediate relief measures. Homeless individuals sleeping on pavements are being rescued and relocated to district shelter homes to protect them from the severe cold.
Under the Deputy Commissioner’s orders, arrangements for bonfires are being made at major squares and intersections across municipal and block areas to provide warmth to passersby. The district administration has urged residents to prioritize their health and avoid stepping outside unnecessarily during evening hours when the cold intensifies.
“Citizens are advised to wear warm clothes when venturing out to protect themselves from the cold and avoid any loss of life or property due to harsh weather,” said DC Ananya Mittal. She also appealed to homeless individuals to take refuge in nearby shelters for their safety.
The administration’s proactive measures aim to provide immediate relief and ensure the well-being of the most vulnerable sections of society during this period of extreme weather.
