JAMSHEDPUR – Two police personnel have been suspended following the escape of detainee Rohit Surin from a police vehicle near Ghaghidih Central Jail.

Bagbera police had arrested Surin on December 3 in Birsanagar in connection with the abduction case. Following his arrest, the police recovered the missing minor based on his information. Surin was being escorted to court on December 4, where he was ordered to be sent to Ghaghidih Central Jail.
The escape led to an FIR being lodged against the accused at Bagbera police station. Bagbera Station Officer Gopal Krishna Yadav conducted the investigation, and the findings were submitted to senior officials, resulting in the suspension orders.
This incident raises concerns over detainee handling and security lapses in the region. The search for the escaped detainee is ongoing.
