RANCHI – Former rebel leader Chamra Linda joins Jharkhand cabinet as JMM’s sixth minister.

The four-time Bishunpur MLA has shown remarkable political resilience. Moreover, his journey reflects significant transformation within regional politics. Meanwhile, his recent assembly victory demonstrates strong public support.

Electoral Success Story

Linda’s political career began with a narrow defeat in 2005. However, he secured his first victory in 2009 through Rashtriya Kalyan Paksha. Furthermore, his influence in Bishunpur has grown consistently since then.

“The people’s mandate reflects their trust in our leadership,” commented a JMM party insider.

Recent Electoral Performance

The 2024 assembly election showcased Linda’s strong voter base. Additionally, he received over one lakh votes in Bishunpur. Meanwhile, BJP candidate Sameer Oraon finished far behind.
