RANCHI – Two major fire incidents in Jharkhand have caused extensive damage to commercial properties.
The first blaze struck Ranchi’s busy market area. It started around 10 AM Wednesday.
Meanwhile, twelve shops suffered complete destruction. The fire spread rapidly through the building.
Furthermore, hardware and plywood stores faced severe damage. Battery shops also burned down.
"Short circuit likely triggered the incident," noted a fire department official.
Moreover, narrow streets complicated rescue operations. Fire trucks struggled to reach the site.
On the other hand, all occupants escaped safely. No casualties were reported.
Additionally, a separate fire struck Giridih district. Three warehouses burned in Bodo area.
The Giridih incident occurred Tuesday midnight. It continued until Wednesday morning.
Furthermore, vehicles inside the warehouse perished. Three motorcycles and an SUV burned completely.
Meanwhile, Baba Jhumraj Enterprises suffered massive losses. The damage exceeded Rs 2 crore.
Moreover, plywood and electrical goods were destroyed. Glass materials also perished.
"Both incidents highlight fire safety concerns," remarked a safety expert.
