JAMSHEDPUR – XITE Gamharia celebrated the feast of its patron saint, St. Francis Xavier, on December 2, 2024, with devotion, vibrant cultural performances, and heartfelt prayers.
The celebrations commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries. BA English first-year students led a prayer service, followed by a serene prayer dance by first-year students. This set a reverent tone for the day. Dr. (Fr.) E. A. Francis, SJ, in his address, emphasized the importance of humility, faith, and service, inspiring students to make a positive impact on society.
In addition, semi-classical and Bollywood dance performances highlighted the students’ enthusiasm. Aparna from BBA first semester impressed with her elegant moves, while Babli and her group electrified the stage with a synchronized Bollywood dance. A solo performance by Shrestha from BA Economics further captivated the audience.
Assistant Professors Akinchan Khakha and Dr. Radha Mahali meticulously planned the event, which was executed under the guidance of esteemed faculty. The presence of Fr. Mukti Clarence, SJ, and Br. Amal Raj added grace to the occasion.
