JAMSHEDPUR – Local administration launches comprehensive initiative to address severe traffic congestion around Mango Bridge area, focusing on vendor relocation and bus stop regulations.
The district administration recently conducted a high-level meeting at the Collectorate to address mounting traffic concerns.
"We are committed to finding solutions that protect both commuter interests and local vendors’ livelihoods," stated ADM Law and Order Aniket Sachan.
Meanwhile, authorities have initiated a detailed field survey to understand traffic patterns and encroachment issues.
Streamlining Public Transport
Officials proposed strict regulations requiring buses to utilize designated stands exclusively.
The administration plans to implement modified no-entry timings for heavy vehicles during peak hours.
Infrastructure Development Plans
MLA Saryu Roy conducted an on-site inspection of Mango Bridge to assess the situation firsthand.
"The current flyover project will only handle traffic from Dimna Road, leaving other areas congested," explained a traffic expert.
The administration is considering constructing an additional bridge connecting Litti Chowk to Kandrabeda.
