JAMSHEDPUR – A minor collision between students at KSMS School in Golmuri escalated into a violent incident, leaving three injured. The confrontation began on November 26 when Class 8 student P Singh accidentally bumped into Class 9 student A Khan on the school stairway. Following the incident, Khan allegedly threatened to kill Singh, prompting him to skip school for two days out of fear.
On Friday, as P Singh was returning home with his brother H Singh and a friend, the situation took a dangerous turn near the R D Tata Golchakkar in Golmuri. A Khan, accompanied by eight others, reportedly surrounded and attacked P Singh with a sharp weapon. H Singh and another friend, attempting to shield P Singh, sustained injuries during the assault.
All three injured students were rushed to TMH hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. P Singh’s family has filed a formal complaint at the Golmuri police station. "The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter," said a police official.
Incidents of schoolyard conflicts escalating to violent levels are a growing concern. Authorities are being urged to strengthen measures to ensure student safety both on and off campus.
