MEDININAGAR – Police in Palamu arrested two members of gangster Sujit Sinha’s gang for threatening and extorting mine owners in the Chhatarpur region.
According to Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Awadh Prasad Yadav, the gang members were intimidating stone quarry and crusher owners through messages, demanding payments in the name of Sujit Sinha’s notorious group. A case was registered at Chhatarpur Police Station following complaints from multiple businessmen.
The accused, Raja Babu Keshri (20) and Kartikeya alias Sachin (24), both residents of Manda Khas village in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, were tracked down and apprehended. Mobile phones used to send threatening messages were also seized.
During interrogation, the accused admitted to working for Sujit Sinha’s gang. SDPO Yadav emphasized that prompt investigation and action led to the arrests. The operation was supported by Station House Officer Prashant Prasad and Sub-Inspector Rahul Kumar.
The police are continuing the investigation to determine further links to the gang and its operations in the area.
