JAMSHEDPUR – Wealth concentration among Jharkhand legislators reaches new heights in 2024 assembly.
The number of crorepati MLAs rises significantly. It jumps from 56 in 2019.
Meanwhile, JMM leads with wealthy legislators. Twenty-eight party MLAs possess crore-plus assets.
BJP follows with 20 crorepati representatives. Congress maintains fourteen wealthy MLAs.
Moreover, re-elected MLAs show substantial wealth growth. Assets increase by Rs 2.71 crore average.
Furthermore, Panki’s BJP MLA ranks second richest. Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan holds Rs 32.15 crore.
In addition, RJD’s Sanjay Prasad Yadav claims third position. His assets total Rs 29.59 crore.
Dumri’s Jairam Mahto reports lowest assets. JLKM candidate declares Rs 2.55 lakh only.
Besides, education levels vary among legislators. Fifty MLAs hold graduate degrees.
Fourteen MLAs report significant liabilities. Each owes over Rs 1 crore.
