JAMSHEDPUR – Bajrang Dal, Jamshedpur Unit, has come forward to offer rich tributes to Kothari Brothers, who had laid down their lives during Ayodhya movement in the 1990s. A blood donation was held to honour their sacrifice.

The Bajrang Dal, under the leadership of its Jamshedpur Metropolitan unit, organized a blood donation camp at MGM Hospital, Sakchi. The event honored the sacrifice of Kothari brothers and kar sevaks who died during the 1990 Ayodhya movement.

Jamshedpur Bajrang Dal convenor Chandan Das recalled the events of October 30, 1990. He said, "The Kothari brothers from Kolkata were the first to hoist the saffron flag on the disputed Babri structure. Following orders from then Uttar Pradesh CM Mulayam Singh Yadav, police fired on kar sevaks, killing hundreds, including the Kothari brothers."

Das highlighted that the bloodshed turned the Saryu River red, and since then, Bajrang Dal organizes blood donation camps nationwide every October and November in their memory.

The event underscored Bajrang Dal’s commitment to social service while remembering those who made sacrifices for the Ayodhya movement.
